When it comes to partying on the Greek Islands, popular party spots such as Mykonos, Ios and Zante comes to mind. However, some parts of Crete can be equally as fulfilling when it comes to providing a vibrant nightlife and beach party atmosphere. Crete is the largest of all the Greek Islands, and many believe it could be it’s own country with more than six hundred and twenty thousand people living on the island. 

Crete is primarily known for it’s rich historical architecture, but in the town of Chania, you will find a variety of nightclubs, some tucked away in picturesque allies, and others rest along the coastline providing a spectacular view of the Mediterranean. The right nightlife and daytime beach parties, however, can be found in between the towns of Malia and Stalis to Elounda. These areas are where you will find most of the young British backpacking students. During the daytime, you can find these partyers on the beach revelling at one party or another, and at night they frequent popular night clubs such as Babylon and Zig Zag. The peak party season in Malia, just like the other Greek islands starts around Mid June to the Mid-September each year, with July and August being the busiest.
