OVERVIEW
You could easily spend 9-days in LA, losing track of time and doing little more than eat, sleep, shop, party, repeat. If you want to make the most of your time in this region and see everything from San Diego to the slopes of Tahoe, then this trip has your name written on it in permanent ink. The Sonoran Desert, Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, Route 66, Vegas & San Fran will soon be clogging up your Instagram account.
ITINERARY
Los Angeles: Next up is the very cool, O.C. – Orange County. You’ll join the crew and find yourselves cruising along the unmistakable Pacific coastline as it gloriously winds around to the super laid back locale of San Diego. Inclusions:
San Diego: Recline into relaxation mode and take in the laid back nature of San Diego. We'll start embodying the easygoing vibes with a visit to the eclectic mix of vibrant neighbourhoods around this city, include Balboa Park for some city outdoor vibes. Thrill seekers listen up, you can drive your very own speedboat (yes you can take the wheel) with a guide around the San Diego Harbour. San Diego: Today you’ll go about your way like a true Cali native with a full day of outdoor excitement. Surf, sun and 42 miles of beachside bliss will have you hanging ten like Kelly Slater in no time, and you can try your hand with a surf lesson with a pro. For those maybe feeling a little less adventurous who’d rather get up close and personal with 4000 animals, then the famous San Diego Zoo will be a must see for you. By nightfall you'll have a smile on your face as we wander the streets to find dinner, then for those not keen to fall into bed we could head back to the Gaslamp District. Inclusions:

San Diego: So now you’ve had your cool moments living the San Diego dream, it's time to explore more of the desert. We farewell our California love and delve a little deeper inland to see what Arizona has to offer. Inclusions:
Phoenix: This impressive metropolis is situated right smack bang in the middle of the desert and is a sight you won’t forget it. Uninterrupted sunshine is expected for approximately 300 days a year, making this place an urban mirage perfect for shopping and sporting events. Phoenix: A hot air balloon ride over the "Valley of the Sun" – sounds like a bucket list kind of thing (because it is) and you have the chance to tick it off the list right here. The 360-degree view will actually take your breath away, but there's a champagne breakfast provided in the deal too so try to keep breathing so you don't miss out. Inclusions:
Sedona: As we venture further into the wild, wild, west you’ll feel a bit like Roadrunner amongst the red rock cliffs of Sedona. These jaw dropping formations are easily recognised as the backdrop for many a country and western flick. This area is rich with Native American culture, which means plenty of opportunity to browse for some beautiful handmade jewellery and listen to the legends of the land or go racing in a 4WD Jeep for some outback adventuring. Grand Canyon: The thrill of the desert continues and the next stop will make any nature lover weak at the knees. This location is one of the world’s most recognizable natural wonders and the pride of Arizona. We'll settle in for the night at our comfy Lodge in the heart of the National Park before the great Grand Canyon reveals itself tomorrow. Take a step outside and take a peep at the endless starry skies, tomorrow will be a day to remember. Inclusions: Visit Mission Beach (weather permitting)
Grand Canyon: You deserve a full day out here in the wilderness to take in the truly dramatic scenery. This day will be like no other; beginning with a hike through the UNESCO World Heritage listed site, the option of a bike ride and ending with a spine-tingling sunset. Incredibly, there is an option to view this wonder from the best and most thrill-seeking seat in the house – a helicopter. Inclusions:

Grand Canyon: With the majestic Grand Canyon left behind for now, we stop off at several spots along the famous Route 66, but most notably, Seligman, a town steeped in history for some rustic old skool Americana vibes. Inclusions:
Las Vegas: Get ready for a full-blown, non-stop assault on the senses, starting first up with the iconic Hoover Dam. This is Las Vegas - sometimes known as Sin City - a place of dreams & epic debauchery. This huge man-made entertainment precinct in the middle of the desert is all about total excess. You’ll be blinded by the bright lights and gob smacked at the thought of all that money running through more than 75 massive casinos. A nighttime tour of the famous ‘Strip’, including a stop for pics at the legendary Vegas sign will show you just what is on offer after dark in this absolutely outrageous city. Fremont Street is on tonight's agenda, where the main attraction is a super impressive light and laser show, before no doubt heading out and straight into what Vegas is all about. Las Vegas: Woo hoo we're in Vegas baby! You have today all to yourself but you’ll need to run to a tight schedule to fit in all the weird and wonderful sights. Travel to international icons like the Eiffel Tower, take a trip on the Venetian gondolas, or even enter an ancient Egyptian pyramid – all replicas in Vegas of course. Feeling slightly romantic? Stop by and see one of the many Elvis impersonators for a shotgun wedding ceremony. Tonight high roll like the celeb you are with a limo style party bus while you cruise along the 'Strip', with Contiki picking up the tab. Later, you’ll witness the 24-hour party scene first hand when you head out for a night with the crew. Inclusions:

Las Vegas: From the ridiculously flashy Vegas ‘Strip’ to the outdoor capital of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this change of scenery will bring you and the crew back to nature again. Inclusions:

Lake Tahoe: Morning snow angels! It’s time to hit the slopes! Whether you’re a beginner bound for the bunny hill or a pro who owns the terrain park, Tahoe offers things to do both on and off the slope. Beginners can get a ski or board lesson with one of the expert instructors, or those with a bit more experience can get straight out there. Not keen on getting up on the slopes? Take the lift or gondola and enjoy the views over the lake, taking a few selfies for good measure. This lakeside spot is nestled between the Sierra Nevada mountains, and a good way to relax after the bright lights and big city vibes of Vegas. Inclusions:

Lake Tahoe: For those looking for a taste of something different, why not try snowmobiling. If it's good enough for James Bond, it's good enough for you. Ride through the back country, and with a guide leading the charge, get a bit of wind in your hair and the adrenaline rushing. San Francisco: Colourful characters, freethinkers, and artists have all descended upon San Francisco to make this place an historically eclectic place. Via Oakland and the San Joaquin Valley, we to descend upon the treasure of beatnik culture, cable cars and the Golden Gate Bridge. When night falls, we’ll head to Chinatown for a tour and slurp on noodles, egg rolls and dumplings. Inclusions: Visit Mission Beach (weather permitting)
San Francisco: Now that you have the city sussed you can dive a little deeper and tap into what you didn't tick off yesterday with a full free day to do your thing, with a bike tour thrown in for good measure. On two wheels, we'll cross the Golden Gate Bridge, go past Fisherman's Wharf and Crissy Field - some say the bridge shows off some of her best angles from this spot, and with us you'll get right there. See the sea lions of Pier 39, grab a chowder bowl, an Irish coffee at Buena Vista cafe in your free time, kick it in Chinatown or take a ferry ride across San Francisco Bay to Alcatraz. As the old saying goes 'I left my heart in San Francisco' will ring true as you prepare to depart tomorrow. But first, the home of chowder bowls - yet another tick box as you sink into fresh clam chowder and soft sourdough bread bowls. Prepare for a collective mmmm. Inclusions:
